Go on an unforgettable African Safari in Tanzania’s Northern Circuit, home to renowned national parks that include, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater,  Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Arusha National Park & Mount Kilimanjaro National Park.  You get to experience the Tarangire National Park on an Overland Safari Truck (a vehicle custom-built for wildlife viewing, offering a great viewing experience, a comfortable sitting area, a stop for a bush picnic, entertainment & chef aboard).  You get to see a high concentration of African elephants & a significant wildlife population. 

 

Roll through the endless plains of the iconic Serengeti National Park in a 4×4 Landcruiser, surrounded by an impressive predator population & varied birdlife. The Serengeti is part of the stage on which the annual Great Migration of the wildebeest plays, making it one of the last mass viewing of terrestrial movements left on the planet. It offers an impressive, year-round wildlife viewing experience.

 

The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the largest unbroken Caldera on the planet with a plethora of animals. Undoubtedly the most astonishing and unique setting in East Africa to see the Big Five (Lions, Leopard, Black Rhino, Elephants & Buffalo), the park is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Black Rhino can easily be sited in the crater, there is no other place in the world where you can witness such diverse scenery and prolific wildlife. 

 

Marvel at the beauty of Materunu Waterfalls, and enjoy a swim at Kikuletwa Hot Springs, a turquoise oasis.

What is an Overland Truck? Safari Truck (vehicle custom-built for wildlife viewing, we offer you a great viewing experience, prioritizing your comfort; with a special sitting area uniquely designed for this trip, and to top it up with a bush picnic,  entertainment & chef aboard. We wrap the day with sundowners (drinks in the wilderness over sunset). For the rest of the safari, we will switch to a 4×4 Landcruiser.

 

Accommodation: Mid-range lodges/tented camp/hotels. Listed hotels/lodges are subject to change but will be of a similar great standard.

DAY 1

Karibu “Welcome” Tanzania

Kilimanjaro International Airport, Transfer to Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania, African Travel Escapes driver will pick you from the airport and drive to Arusha where the adventure begins. Arusha is the Safari capital and gateway to Tanzania's Northern Safari Circuit. It is situated beneath the towering peaks of Mount Meru & snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro. Relax at the hotel/lodge & later meet up with the group for dinner under the African sky. The next coming days promise an authentic African Safari experience in Tanzanians most iconic parks.

DAY 2

Tarangire "River of Warthogs"

Tarangire National Park
Explore Tarangire National Park in an overland truck, offering you comfort and 360 panoramic views of the park. See a high concentration of African elephants, a diverse wildlife population, and a plentitude of baobab trees. Enjoy a hot lunch prepared by a chef, set against the backdrop of the wilderness. (Nothing beats an authentically, unspoiled African safari experience on a comfortable couch/seating area with an ice-cold drink in hand and entertainment aboard). Wrap the day at an overnight stay in Karatu.

DAY 3

Serengeti "Endless Plains"

Serengeti National Park
Early start to the morning, following breakfast, we take a 4x4 Landcruiser vehicle from Karatu and drive to Serengeti National Park, passing through Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We expect to reach the Serengeti National Park gate at around 11:00 am. Enjoy a picnic-packed lunch, proceed with an afternoon game drive until late afternoon, then drive to lodge/camp for an overnight stay.

DAY 4

Serengeti "Wildlife Sanctuary"

Serengeti National Park
Early start to the morning to catch the African sunrise, and enjoy breakfast in the bush. Today, we embark on a full-day safari to explore the endless plains of the Serengeti, the park is a wildlife sanctuary, a geographical wonder, and host to the largest wildlife migration. Enjoy the great photographic views. Witness the majestic lions control their kingdom, see predators/big cats, and an array of wildlife. We wrap the day with sundowners (drinks in the wilderness over sunset). We head back for an overnight stay in the Serengeti.

DAY 5

Ngorongoro "The Black Hole"

Ngorongoro National Park

We depart the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the largest unbroken calderas on the planet with over 25,000 wild creatures. It is a breathtakingly beautiful setting characterized by grassland plains, savanna woodlands, and lakes. It is the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five, Lions, Leopard Black Rhino, Elephants & Buffalo flourishing in the park's basin; where the floor has been fertilized by volcanic soil. You'll experience the world's most astonishing, 8th wonder. Today, you get to see the endangered Black Rhino, which can easily be sited in the crater. Following the game drive, we make our way to Arusha for an overnight stay.

DAY 6

Kilimanjaro - Pole Pole”, Take it slowly

Materuni Waterfalls,  Kikuletwa Hot Springs
Today, you get to experience the authentic charm and character of the small town of Moshi, nestled at the foothills of snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro. Gear up for a day filled to brim with adventure. Following breakfast, we make our way to Materuni waterfalls, in Materuni village, home to the Chagga tribe and famous for its aromatic coffee. Take a short hike to the waterfalls, enjoy a swim at the bottom of the waterfall, enjoy coffee at a plantation. We spend the rest of the afternoon at Kikuletwa Hot Springs, an oasis characterized by turquoise waters. The hot springs encapsulate the higher vibrations of Africa, and you’ll see why. Enjoy a moment of pure tranquility, and swim in the idyllic springs

Arusha - Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport
